Tynwald under scrutiny from Lord Lisvane

Tue, 03 May 2016

Evidence is now being collated as part of an independent review into how Tynwald functions.
Sparked by politicians last year the review is being conducted by the former Clerk of the House of Commons.
Lord Lisvane has been tasked with examining the functions of the branches of Tynwald -he'll look at what scrutiny structure is required and recommend options for reform.
He'll call a number of witnesses to give oral evidence - written submissions from the public will also be accepted if they're received by June 2nd.
It's anticipated that Lord Lisvane will report his findings back to Tynwald in July.
