Remand for teen who brandished gun in street

Wed, 22 Jun 2016

A Douglas teenager has been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison after brandishing a replica gun in the street.

19-year-old Jack Mckernan appeared at Douglas Courthouse last week following an incident on Christian Road on June 7th.

He pleaded guilty to affray and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in front of a police officer.

The court was told no physical contact was made but Mckernan had pointed the 'BB gun' at his victim in the early hours of the morning.

McKernan was committed for sentence at the Court of General Gaol Delivery - he'll next appear there on July 8th.
