Committal for money laundering three delayed

Fri, 01 Jul 2016

Three people from Peel who've been accused of money laundering have had their court case delayed again.

51-year-old Beverley Taylor, 24-year-old Jamie Griffin and 20-year-old Meghan Griffin appeared at Douglas Courthouse earlier this week.

Committal proceedings were due to take place but the prosecutor told the court there would be a delay whilst the charges were re-considered.

The trio are accused of removing £42,000 from the Isle of Man to Liverpool between February 2014 and February this year - that money is allegedly the proceeds of crime.

The case was adjourned for two weeks - all three have been bailed until their next court appearance on July 12th.
