Fire crews help man stuck on roof

A man in the north of the Island needed help from fire crews after getting stuck on a roof.

Officers were called out to Lambhill in Bride on Tuesday evening after the man got trapped on top of a two-storey building.

The man had been using a platform hoist to access the roof, but was unable to get back down when the controls failed.

A specialist team and an aerial appliance from Douglas were called out alongside the Ramsey crew, who were able to quickly reset the control and bring the man down.
