The inquest into the death of a man who died in a helicopter crash after bringing TT fans to the Island will reconvene this morning.

Matthew Chapman from Lincolnshire was killed when his Bell Jetranger aircraft came down in a field next to the 33rd milestone on the Mountain Road in June 2015.

The 48-year-old had flown to the Island to drop friends at the Creg-ny-Baa to watch the first day of racing at TT, and was heading to Ronaldsway to refuel when the incident occured.

An investigation into the crash by the Air Accident Investigation Branch concluded that strong winds had been a factor in the crash.

The hearing gets underway at Douglas Courthouse at 10am.
