The new Health and Social Care Minister insists she won't be backing Government policies if she doesn't agree with them.

Kate Beecroft agreed to join Howard Quayle's Council of Ministers after losing out to the Middle MHK in the Chief Minister vote.

The leader of the Liberal Vannin party insisted that collective responsibility of Ministers was changed before agreeing to take up the post.

Ministers have previously had to back Government votes in the House of Keys and Tynwald.
