Manx businesses given Disability Discrimination Act info

Thu, 20 Oct 2016

Manx service providers are being provided will information ahead of the new Disability Discrimination Act coming into force.

From December 15th, anyone providing goods, facilities or services on the Island will have to comply with the legislation.

The Department of Health and Social Care has produced a number of documents to help businesses and organisations make sure they're prepared for the changes.

Companies can read a self-assessment checklist, guidance on the meaning of disabled, and good practice guides for a number of sectors, including retail and restaurants.

The publications can be found at gov.im/dda.
