A child needed to be rescued after climbing up a cliff in the west of the Island.

Members of Peel Coastguard had been carrying out a training exercise in the area when they heard shouts from Fenella beach on Sunday.

After investigating, the team found a child had climbed up the cliff and got stuck.

One coastguard member was able to climb down from the top of the cliff to secure the youngster, bringing them safely to the top of the cliff.
