Van leaves road and catches fire at Fairy Bridge

Fire crews were called out in the south of the Island after a van left the road and caught fire at Fairy Bridge.

Teams from Castletown and Douglas headed to the scene at the Ballasalla side of Fairy Bridge shortly after 8pm on Monday.

By the time officers arrived all occupants of the vehicle were clear and the driver had managed to put the fire out.

All those in the van escaped without injury.
