Health and Social Care Minister Kate Beecroft will ask for the funds at this month's sitting of Tynwald.

A government department will ask for an extra £11.1m from the Treasury to cover extra costs.

The Department of Health and Social Care says it needs the additional funds for excess expenditure in order to provide its services.

The Department has the largest budget in the Isle of Man Government, with a gross fund of over £250 million for the current financial year.

Minister Kate Beecroft will ask Tynwald to approve the additional funds at this month's sitting.
