Met Office expects heavier snow this evening

Thu, 12 Jan 2017

The Isle of Man Met Office is continuing to warn of wintry showers hitting the Island later today.

Forecasters say sleet and snow showers will become more frequent this evening and tonight, resulting in accumulations over the hills.

The Island's roads police have been warning drivers to be wary of slippery road surfaces as a result of the conditions.

The amber weather warning is due to remain in place until midnight tomorrow.
