MHK to question air ambulance contingency plans

Fri, 27 Jan 2017

Contingency plans if the air ambulance aircraft is unavailable will be discussed in the House of Keys next week.

Douglas North MHK David Ashford wants to know what would happen if the air ambulance failed to be available.

The service is currently used to transfer patients off-Island for treatment using an aircraft based at Ronaldsway with nurses to care for them during the flight.

Health and Social Care Minister Kate Beecroft will give details when the House sits on Tuesday.
