The emergency services have been dealing with a crash on Cooil Road in Braddan this lunchtime.

The police, fire crews and ambulance service were all called out at around midday following a collision between two vehicles at the junction to the Spring Valley Industrial Estate.

Two people had to be removed from one of the vehicles, with fire crews having to cut the roof and doors to get the occupants out.

Both have been taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.

After the casualties were freed from the car, the road remained closed for around 40 minutes while the scene was cleared.
