The Department of Infrastructure plans to resurface the south end of Douglas promenade before the start of the horse tram season in April.

The Department of Infrastructure will resurface more sections of Douglas promenade before the start of the horse tram season.

The northern end of the road underwent short-term resurfacing work last December to improve the driving surface.

The DoI is now planning to repeat the project on the southern end of the prom before the horse trams start in April.

The work will cost around £50,000 with a full timetable for the work to be revealed later this month.

The Department is planning a full reconstruction of the promenade which is expected to get underway later this year.
