DoI confirms four-week resurfacing schedule for prom

More resurfacing works will get underway on Douglas promenade next month.

The Department of Infrastructure has revealed that the southern section of the road from the Sea Terminal to Broadway will undergo short-term resurfacing from March 3.

The work will be split into four phases with the road remaining open to traffic throughout, and is expected to be complete by April 1.

The scheme will be similar to the work carried out at the north end of the prom last year, taking in only the three metres either side of the horse tram tracks.

The resurfacing is a temporary message while the DoI finalises plans for the full reconstruction of the promenade.
