Storm Doris is causing travel problems around the Island as falling trees, roof tiles and other debris block a number of roads.

Teams from the Department of Infrastructure are working to unblock routes around the Island, while police are warning the public not to make any unnecessary journeys.

The roads around the power station in Douglas are also closed as part of the roof on the structure has come loose.

Many flights coming in and out of Ronaldsway have been cancelled because of the storm force winds, while this morning's Steam Packet service was also called off, although this evening's crossing is expected to go ahead.

Conditions are forecast to improve this afternoon.
