MHK seeks details over end of baggage handling service

Fri, 17 Mar 2017

The Department of Infrastructure's decision to end its baggage handling service will be discussed in this month's sitting of Tynwald.

The Government revealed it would be stopping its baggage and cargo service later this year, putting 22 jobs at the airport at risk.

Douglas North MHK David Ashford wants to know whether the airlines operating out of Ronaldsway were consulted before the decision was taken.

Private handling agents are expected to take over baggage handling duties in May or June.
