The Health Minister says feedback on the new patient transfer taxi service is being taken on board.

ComCab Liverpool took over from Bridgewater Cars last month, but comments on social media have been critical of the new service.

One comment in the Facebook group claimed the taxi from Liverpool airport to a nearby hospital was filthy and staff were rude, while others have complained of late pick-ups, uncomfortable and overcrowded taxis and drivers getting lost.

Kate Beecroft insists the Department of Health and Social Care is listening to the feedback, and described the problems as teething issues which need to be fine tuned.

Mrs Beecroft hopes a formal weekly contract call with the provider will allow her Department to address issues.

Those who have used the service can submit feedback directly to the DHSC by emailing dhsc@gov.im or by writing to Patient Transfers at Crookall House.
