A Manx swimmer has become the first Isle of Man-born swimmer to be crowned British champion.

Charlotte Atkinson has secured two titles at the Championships in the 50m and 200m butterfly.

The 19-year-old set Isle of Man records in both events, and posted a time fast enough to qualify for the World Championships in the 200m.

Dublin-born Alexandra Jackson was the last swimmer representing the Isle of Man to win a British title in 1968.
