Survey launched to find out why Manx graduates move away

Wed, 03 May 2017

Graduates from the Island are to be asked about their chosen careers in a bid to bring Manx students back to the Island after university.

Last year's Census revealed a larger than expected percentage of graduates live and work away from the Island after completing their education.

The Department of Education and Children wants to hear from those who have graduated since 2013 as it looks to understand why well-qualified workers in their 20s aren't staying on the Island.

It's hoped the responses will help the Government find ways to attract Manx graduates back to the Island's workforce as part of the Programme for Government.

The survey can be found on the Government's employment pages and the University College Isle of Man website, and is open until the end of June.
