NSC offers free showers to stranded ferry passengers

Passengers affected by yesterday's cancelled Heysham sailings are being invited to use the National Sports Centre's showers for free.

The Manx Government has announced the swimming pool, spa suite and showers are available to those stranded on the Island from today until their sailing is rescheduled.

Those interested in using the facilities at the NSC on Groves Road should show their original ticket and bring a towel as the NSC has a limited number.

The Steam Packet Company had to cancel the Ben-my-Chree's evening crossing yesterday because of winds, but are unable to offer alternative arrangements until at least Thursday evening because of the high number of bookings.

Should any other sailings be affected, the same offer will be extended to those passengers.
