Police warn lollipop men and women may start having to wear cameras like those in the UK.

Drivers in the north of the Island are being reminded it's an offence not to stop for lollipop men and women.

The Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team have issued to warning following an increase in the number of incidents being reported to the police by the school crossing patrol service.

Lollipop men and women use cameras in the UK to assist when motorists fail to stop, and officers believe such technology could be needed here in the future.

Drivers are urged to be alert when driving during school hours.
