Former St Ninian's student Joe Green died while on holiday in Spain

Bereavement counsellors will be in one of the Island's secondary schools following the death of a former student.

18-year-old Joe Greene died suddenly while on holiday in Spain earlier this week.

The teenager completed his A Levels at St Ninian's High School earlier this year, and had just secured a job in the finance sector before going on holiday.

The school's headteacher described him as a young man with a lively and infectious attitude to life who was appreciated by all.

The school is planning to pay tribute to Joe in the new school year.

Counsellors from CRUSE and the Department of Education and Children will be supporting students and staff at the school, while anyone who feels they need support can contact CRUSE on 668191.
