Almost 60 children receiving home education

Almost 60 children on the Isle of Man receive education at home.

The Department of Education and Children has revealed 57 youngsters are registered as being home educated.

35 of those are of primary school age, while the remaining 22 are of secondary school age.

The Department recently revealed plans to ask for annual reports from parents in the future on the education received by kids who are home schooled to ensure they are receiving an appropriate education.
