A leisure group based in Lancashire is planning a multi-million pound development at one of the Island's golf courses.

Pure Leisure Group, which is owned by Kirk Michael resident John Morphet, has agreed to purchase Glen Truan.

The company wants to develop luxury leisure facilities at the site in the north of the Island, including 55 log cabins, a luxury clubhouse and spa and wellbeing facilities.

Pure Leisure also runs 10 holiday parks in England, as well as golf facilities in Cambridgeshire and North Yorkshire.

The 150-acre golf course was listed for sale last year.
