Lifeboat tows two boats to safety

Thu, 31 Aug 2017

Port St Mary Lifeboat crew were called out twice in an hour after two boats broke down.

The team were first needed to escort a boat having fuel problems back to the breakwater.

As they got back to the harbour, the crew spotted a man waving his arms to get attention around a quarter of a mile out.

After discovering his vessel had lost steering, the lifeboat towed the boat back to its mooring.
