A number of Manx cyclists have been included in the long list for Britain's tea at the UCI Road World Championships.

Mark Cavendish, Mark Christian and Peter Kennaugh are three of the 13 men being considered for the elite men's road race, alongside Manx residents Ian Stannard and Ben Swift.

Anna Christian, who is the British Under-23 time trial champion, is on the long list for the women's race, while Matt Bostock is being considered for the men's under-23 contest.

The world championships take place in Norway later this month.
