IoM helping communities in Kenya

More than 85 thousand pounds of Manx money is to go to help communities in Kenya.

The Manx government has awarded Excellent Development the money to build four sand dams, that will provide life-changing support to those in the African country.

The money will allow for reinforced concrete walls to be built across season river channels to capture water, which will prevent two thirds of women and children from walking up to 12 hours a day to collect water for their families.
