Almost two thirds of parents at St Thomas's School believe there are no advantages to moving the school to another site.

The Department of Education and Children revealed plans for St Thomas's to share Scoill Vallajeelt's Saddlestone facilities due to too many pupils signing up for the central Douglas school.

The headteacher at St Thomas's recently held a survey which showed 64.52% of parents don't think there are any advantages, while almost 70% admitted they would consider moving their child to another school if the plans go ahead.

Nearly 60% insisted they weren't happy with the idea, while a further 25% expressed concern, with just one in eight believing it's a good idea.
