Economic Development Minister faces questions about new homestay operator

Sat, 21 Oct 2017

The Economic Development Minister will face questions about the new homestay provider when the House of Keys sits next week.

Manx firm Miquando was announced as the new operator for the scheme from next year.

Laurence Skelly will be asked what assessment the impact of increasing fees for the scheme before it was announced.

David Ashford will also ask the Minister what impact he expects the extra cost to have.

Homestay allows Manx residents to rent spare rooms to tourists during TT and the Festival of Motorcycling.
