Injured seal travels from IoM to Scotland for specialist treatment

Rose travelled from the Isle of Man to Scotland to continue her recovery from a flipper injury.

An injured seal has travelled from the Isle of Man to Scotland to receive specialist treatment for an injury.

Rose had been living at the MSPCA in Foxdale after sustaining a flipper injury.

She went on the ferry this morning on the way to a specialist seal sanctuary, which will be able to provide long term care for her rehabilitation.

The sanctuary hopes to be able to release Rose into the wild in the spring once she has recovered further.
