New bridge over Santon Burn completed

It took four months to move the old bridge and build its replacement.

The Old Castletown Road is open to traffic again following the construction of a new bridge.

Work to reconstruct the Mwyllin-e-Quinney Bridge across the Santon Burn got underway in July.

The four-month project involved removing the old structure and building a three-span concrete bridge deck supported by steel beams.

The new bridge also includes a pedestrian walkway.
