Tools stolen from homes under renovation

Thu, 30 Nov 2017

Police are appealing for information after a number of tools were stolen from homes under renovation in the south of the Island.

The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team has received a number of reports of items being taken in the last couple of weeks, the most recent of which came from property developer Hartford Homes.

The items taken include two DeWalt batteries, a DeWalt Radio, paint and a number of Hamilton Range Chrome double sockets.

Officers believe on this occasion the thieves have been particular when selecting what to take.

Those with construction taking place on their properties or undertaking their own DIY are being urged to be vigilant.

Anyone who can help police with their investigation is urged to contact Castletown Police Station on 822222.
