Lower Douglas water can be used after boiling

Those affected by the contaminated water supply in lower Douglas can now use water after boiling it.

Manx Utilities took further samples this morning after finding water on North Quay and Church Road may have been affected by sea water.

Those in the affected area must run the cold tap in their kitchen for 20 minutes to clear the system.

The board is dropping off information to the 800 customers affected, and is urging those in the area to check their neighbours are aware of the situation.

Manx Utilities have also posted a link to a map showing the affected area on its social media accounts.
