Commissioners submit plans for community sports hall

One of the Island's local authorities is seeking planning permission for a community sports hall.

Ramsey Town Commissioners wants to construct the facility next to Vollen Pump Station at Mooragh Park.

The exact design hasn't yet been finalised, but the Commissioners want approval in principal for a hall including a maximum sized futsal pitch which could be used for a range of activities.

The Commissioners have considered 16 possible sites for the sports hall, with one application previously refused and another withdrawn due to objections.
