No changes to Common Travel Area after Brexit

Thu, 28 Dec 2017

The British Foreign Office has confirmed Manx citizens will be able to travel freely in the UK and Ireland after Brexit.

The office has announced the UK has reached an agreement to continue the Common Travel Area, which allows free movement between the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

The Foreign Office insists British and Irish citizens living within the CTA don't need to do anything to protect their rights.

It had been feared the agreement would have to be updated as the Republic of Ireland will still be in the European Union after the UK leaves.
