Sat, 30 Dec 2017

Manx singer-songwriter Barry Gibb has received a knighthood in the Queen's New Year's Honours list.

The Bee Gees star, who was born in Douglas, has been recognised for his services to music and charity.

Gibb was previously awarded a CBE alongside his brothers and bandmates Maurice and Robin in 2002.

As a member of the Bee Gees, Gibb has sold an estimated 120 million records and played the legends slot at Glastonbury earlier this year.
