Inflation rate rises to 4.1%

Fri, 05 Jan 2018

The inflation rate on the Isle of Man rose to 4.1% last month.

Government figures show the Consumer Prices Index rose by 0.3% in December, up from 3.8% in November.

The increase means inflation is at its highest since July.

The Treasury believes transport and the cost of restaurants and hotels have driven the inflation rate up, as well as food and non-alcoholic drinks.
