No rates increase for Braddan

Thu, 01 Feb 2018

Braddan Parish Commissioners won't be increasing their rate for the 2018-19 financial year.

The board confirmed the levy will be held at £2 for the coming year as it expected to benefit from a number of office and other developments being completed in the coming 12 months, increasing its rate income.

Chairman Andrew Jessop highlighted some of the local authority's plans for the next year, including increasing the amount of road sweeping and hedge cutting, installing bus shelters on Cooil Road and enhancing the children's area around the skate park at Cronk Grianagh.

The Chairman added that he was delighted to be able to hold the rate while continuing to invest in the area.
