DoI plans additional maintenance in housing estates

The Department of Infrastructure will carry out extra work on the Island's housing estates.

The Department plans to resurface roads and pavements, repair kerbs and replace old signs across the Island.

The work is on top of ongoing maintenance as the DoI has been granted additional funding for residential projects.

Inspections have been carried out to determine which areas are most in need, with work due to get underway in May.

The DoI says the work is important to the social and economic wellbeing of the Island, and could help avoid the need for more significant work in the future.
