Small rise in unemployment

Unemployment on the Isle of Man increased slightly last month.

At the end of January 361 people were out of work compared with 335 in December, giving the Island an unemployment rate of 0.8%.

The figure is 240 lower than at the same time last year, and the lowest January figure since 2003.

During the same month, 813 jobs were posted at the Job Centre, with 514 remaining at the end of the month.
