Oliver, Olivia are most popular names for Manx babies

Oliver and Olivia were the most popular names for newborn babies on the Isle of Man last year.

Oliver moved ahead of Archie and Theo, which were the most frequently picked names in 2016.

Olivia claimed top spot for newborn Manx girls, having also been named as the most popular name for girls in the UK last year.

Evie, Ella and Scarlet also proved popular choices.

The Civil Registry revealed there was a small decline in the number of births registered last year, while October was the most popular month for birth registrations.
