The Department of Education, Sport and Culture believes Scoill Vallajeelt could host both schools.

Over 400 people signed letters of objection over the Department of Education, Sport and Culture's plans to move a Douglas primary school to another location.

The Government wants pupils from St Thomas's Church of England School to move to Scoill Vallajeelt.

The Department confirmed four letters of objection were received, signed by a total of 413 people.

Two letters of objection containing just one signature were rejected as the public notice of co-location stated such letters needed a minimum of 10 signatures.

The two schools would still be operated separately under the plans, but would share the larger school building in Saddlestone.
