Electricity prices to rise in April

Electricity prices on the Isle of Man will increase from the start of April.

Manx Utilities has announced it will be putting electricity unit charges up by 1.88% for domestic and commercial users up at the start of the next financial year.

Standing charges remain unchanged, while the water rate and sewerage rate will also remain the same, along with charges for septic tank emptying.

Manx Utilities is also undertaking a review of its pricing strategy, with a report due to go before Tynwald in October.
