Victims suite opened at Police Headquarters

A new suite to help the victims of crime has been opened at Police Headquarters in Douglas.

The Dr Philip Christian Suite will provide protection and privacy for victims, as well as medical and photographic facilities and comfortable interview rooms.

The Isle of Man Constabulary says improving the treatment of victims and witnesses is part of the Department of Home Affairs' efforts to modernise the Island's criminal justice system.

The suite is named after a former police surgeon, who cut the ribbon to open the facility.
