The Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer and his top Civil Servants will be grilled by a Tynwald Committee today over the Open Skies Policy.

At the moment the Island has a free market in air services and any airline can operate to the Island from any destination. Many argue this has brought about competition and reduced fares on routes with multi operators.

The Tynwald Environment and Infrastructure Committee will also hear from the DOI’s Chief Officer Nick Black and the Director of Ports Ann Reynolds.

The public hearing got underway at 10.30am and can heard online via the Tynwald website.
