MHK seeks details on jobseekers allowance claimants

An MHK wants to know how many claimants of jobseekers allowance have skipped job interviews.

Onchan MHK Julie Edge is seeking details about those who receive the benefit while looking for work.

Ms Edge is also asking how many recipients have been refused jobs following an application, and how many weeks they continued to receive jobseekers allowance for.

Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan will provide the figures in next week's sitting of the House of Keys.
