Hairline fracture leaves McGuinness plans up in the air

Tue, 01 May 2018

TT star John McGuinness has been speaking about reinjuring the leg he broke at last year's North West 200

The 23-time TT winner had been due to return after more than a year out at this year's TT, but suffered a setback a few weeks ago.

McGuinness revealed in an interview for Bet Victor that a hairline fracture appeared at the front of the original break after he had the external fixator cage removed from his leg.

He's since had a plate put in, and is a couple of weeks from being back on his feet.

McGuinness, who had been due to ride for Norton, Mugen, MD Racing and KMR at TT 2018, said all his plans are up in the air and everything is on hold, although he didn't put a timeline on his return.
