Abortion proposals to have third reading today

The Abortion Reform Bill is due to undergo its third reading in the House of Keys this morning.

The legislation will have its final stage in the House before being put before the Legislative Council.

Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson's Bill completed the considerations of clauses stage last week, with members debating the definition of a medical practitioner and how to ensure those seeking abortion services aren't harassed at surgeries or clinics.

Members will also discuss Freedom of Information requests, kerbside recycling and properties of national importance at this week's sitting.
