The Sefton Group has unveiled plans to build a new Palace Hotel and Casino in the centre of Douglas.
Auldyn Properties, which is Sefton's largest shareholder, has purchased the Middlemarch site at the junction of Lord Street and Walpole Avenue from the Government.
The company now hopes to use the site for a new hotel and casino complex as well as third-party leisure facilities and a multi-storey car park.
Sefton plans to relocate the casino first, with the hotel to follow further down the line.
Sefton and Auldyn hope to progress to the planning stage as soon as the car parking and other leisure elements have been finalised.
